What's going on with Missouri cannabis packaging?

If you’ve been in a dispensary lately you may have noticed some of your favorite products have looked slightly different. By the end of 2024, all packaging will have a different design due to regulations sent down from the Department of Cannabis Regulations (DCR). The new regulations require one-color packaging, the word ‘Marijuana’ to be the largest aspect on the label and the THC symbol to be on the front among other testing label requirements. You’ll also notice a lack of descriptive information on the packaging compared to what you are used to. Most companies will use the allowed QR code on the back to link you to the pertinent product information.

Each package and label goes through an application process where the DCR approves or rejects the submitted materials within 30 days of the application. The licensed company can either move forward with the approval or resubmit the changes and wait another 30 days for an answer.

Rest assured that your products should have the same flavor, potency, and effects that you have come to expect – they just have a new look.

Below are examples of what you can expect from CLOVR-manufactured brands such as Keef, Wana, CLOVR, and Robhots.
